Cannot edit duplicate titles without editing the original.

I have been reading all kinds of possible solutions, but duplicating titles in the project panel, and copying titles in the sequence panel only creates a copy of the original, which when I edit it, changes the original too. The "New title based on current title" button also only creates a copy which when edited also edits the original. This is driving me crazy. Any ideas? I'm using Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2015. The title has a few different parts to it, I want to copy the entire title and its effects. So far the most I could do is copying the text but losing the effects. see image:

Thanks!

About your last post at 12-Jan-2018 10:39 , thank you, but that just seems to replace the second title with the title in the project window. I'm generally quite competent with software, I was using cyberlink powerdirector, and decided to give adobe premiere a go - its just a bit mind boggling that its so impossible to copy these pre-made titles in a quick and simple way. In a previous post I've put a link to the titles, its just still being moderated.

swimfish: Did you see the tutorial on the vendor's site about this topic?

To create an independent copy of a title in the timeline, when the title was created in the Legacy Title Tool - In the timeline, holding down the Option (Alt) key, click down with the mouse on the original title and drag to a new position on the timeline, where you want the copy to appear. An independent  copy of the original title will be created, that can be modified from without modifying the original.

Hi Meg The Dog - Thank you, though I have tried this before after reading about it as a possible solution - and I just tried it again after your comment - but if I do this, it Still edits the original title. Any ideas please? I can't believe its so difficult to do such a simple thing.

Its just a matter of alt+drag to make a new (legacy) title.
