Cant import iTunes songs into Project

ITunes purchased M4P music and Apple Music AAC & ALAC audio files are encrypted files, that can only be played viaiTunes or authorized Apple devices. Thanks for reaching out. Songs that appear grayed out in iTunes need to be downloaded to your device before they can be used in Rush. Go to the Music app to download the song.

Songs from an Apple Music subscription cannot be used because they are protected by digital rights management (see details below). In order to use songs from Apple Music, they need to be purchased.

Hi Anthony - As Jim mentioned, make sure that you have permission to use the music tracks if you are using the music for commercial use. Otherwise, if it is for a parody or educational use you could claim fair use.

In order to import the music into Premiere, you first need to convert the audio file into a .mp3 file before you import it into Premiere Pro. If you Google "Convert M4a to mp3" lots of online solutions will appear, such as this one.

Such music is copyrighted and not legal for use in editing.
