Captions Being Created For Entire Sequence

Every time I attempt to create a new set of captions in my sequence for a specific video, I get a new set of captions for everything in the sequence as opposed to the section marked between the In and Out points. I know I can just start a new sequence but I like to edit many videos in one sequence. This has never been an issue before for me and only started happening recently. Attached are photos of what happens when I create new captions.

@Singh.Nav1699,

Since the new PR captions workflow was introduced in PR 2021, there has never been an option to Create Captions from transcript only for in to out. There is an option to create a transcript from in to out, and to determine whether the rest of the transcript is kept or not.

So, for example, you could transcribe in to out, choose NOT to merge transcripts, then create the captions. But you would lose the original transcript.

I suspect that is what you were doing, but you have now selected the option to "Merge output with existing transcription." And if you create captions from that, it is the whole sequence.

If you needed to keep the full transcription, you could export it as transcript (.pr, but that is a proprietary format (.prtranscript) only useful for importing to PR. Or you could create the full captions, and then drag-select and delete all of those you don't want.
