Capture device is offline

i am tiring to capture from "Soiny ax53 handycam" in Primer pro. capture window says "capture device is offline" How to bring this camcorder "online"?

You cannot capture with a solid state camera over firewire.

Get yourself a cardreader.

Pop the card in and copy entire content to hard drive.

Then ingest via the Media Browser.
