Capture devices compatible with Premiere Pro

Can someone list specific capture devices that are compatible with Premiere Pro 2023?

For some reason, Adobe is happy to discuss an unintelligible list of specs that such a device must have, but won't identify any products that meet them.

VHS video from old tapes.

If you are on windows

You need an AV-converter and a firewire card

You can use an old dv (tape)-camera with analog in or get a second hand Grass Valley AV converter (ebay?)

Mac is another story.

Please post link to those capture device specs.

Premiere only captures over firewire.

I was not able to interpret Adobe's description of its specs, although firewire was mentioned among them. Like I said, unintelligible.

Am I wrong to assume that some manufacturer somewhere makes a device that is plug-compatible with Premiere Pro? Because if the anwer is 'no,' then I'm surprised.
