Change to color effect not working on PC.

I have several scenes in which the sky is too white. I've tried the change to color effect over and over, and I just cannot get it to do anything. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, but I'm darned if I can figure out what. I choose the color I want to change with the first eyedropper, then choose the new color I'd like with the box below. Nothing happens. What have I missed?

The sky is blown out completely to white and

white won't work with Change to Color (besides, it's an obsolete effect).

Try Color Replace instead.

The sky is blown out completely to white and

white won't work with Change to Color (besides, it's an obsolete effect).

Try Color Replace instead.

    I would first wonder if somehow the Global fx Mute has got toggled on, as I've done that to myself a couple times.

     

    Also, I might suggest using the Color Workspace, Lumetri panel HSL tab. Set a key for the sky and shift Color there

    Thanks for the suggestion. I defintely have not hit global effects mute, since I don't een have that button displayed. I've just tried using Lumetri HSL and got pretty much the same result -- almost no perceptible change. Could it be because I am trying change something that is almost pure white? Is white non-changeable?

    White is not a color. You can only make is somewhat gray.
