Change to Color is Gone - What Do I Do?
Adobe has officially removed the "Change to Color" effect for good in the latest Mac M1 version of Premiere. It's not even in the "Obsolete" folder anymore. I used this plugin probably more than any other plugin over the past 5 years, so now when I open all of my old projects everything needs to be altered and fixed. I'm not very happy about this.
One of the issues I'm running into is that with the added functionality of the Lumetri tool, Adobe believes they have rendered "Change to Color" obsolete. My question, is how do I change a color in a clip to a specific color with a specific color code? I do a lot of work for brands and many times I have to change specific colors in an animation, graphic or an image and it must be to a specific color associated with a color code. With Lumetri's HSL Secondary tool, sure you can change a color (with a bunch of endless tweaking that takes forever) but it's all just by eye. Nothing is as easy and as quick as the "Change to Color" tool was, and I cannot dial in a specific color with a specific color code. Or can I? Am I missing something?
I really wish Adobe would just bring that tool back and save me this headache.
