Changing frame size will delete all of my preview files

Hi there, so I'm completely new to Premiere Pro and video editing in general, and I don't want to erase all of the audio work I have done for a video that is 15+ mins long. The frame size is way too large for the clips I am using, but when I go into the sequence settings to change it, I get a message saying that all preview files will be deleted and that it can't be reversed. So I might sound like a complete newbie (which I am), but will that mess with any of the work I've done so far? And if so, how would I go about changing the frame size without doing that?

Thanks

Premiere creates separate audio and video files as I understand it. It would be quick to test. Duplicate the sequence, then on the dupe, change the frame-size. Shouldn't affect anything else.

And all it would delete are previews anyway ... the work you've done is stored in the file's metadata.
