Closed Caption Export Error

I am trying to export an srt file of my feature film's sequence but it keeps giving me this error of 'Closed Caption Export Error: Error occurred while writing the following closed caption file' when I go through File > Export > Captions route.

when I open the caption timeline on source monitor and click on the three dots on the top right and click 'Export Srt' option, no error shows up but the file still doesnt export or show up in any folder on the drive. When I export txt or csv file format, it exports easily. What's the issue here?

Thank You all, I was so lost: just getting the Error code, or half empty srt -file after every export. After reading this discuisson, looked and found an empty text block, remowed that, and export works normaly. With the first attempts, the srt -file was just as long, as the empty block appeared on timeline.

FYI, we beieve that this issue has been resolved with later builds of 22.6 Beta. You can go to Creative Cloud and download Premiere Pro Beta 23.0 to verify, if you like (22.6 Beta builds are no longer available in Creative Cloud, as they have been replaced with 23.0 Beta builds)

Hi there!

Sorry to hear that. What's the source of the captions? Which version of Premiere Pro do you have?

Let us know.

Thanks,

Kartika

Hi there, I'm not sure if you saw Stan's reply below, but it definitely seems like this is more of a bug than a feature...  Maybe it can be fixed in the latest release?

Just to clarify, the problem is fixed by right-clicking and deleting empty text blocks (that were removed from subtitles due to being in the video). I exported using the three dots on the captions menu, and it worked immediately.

Cheers

Iain

I have seen other reports of this in the past 2 days.

I tried using a directory with a hyphen (as you have) and an extra period in the filename. No problem on either of the 2 export types.

I don't understand the timecode behind the error. It looks like the times are jumping by half hours?
