Hi, i wanted to add untertitles in a vertical video (cea 608, 480p project) - but the size and the letter spacing does not look good. Anyone knows how can i adjust that?

Thank you

UPDATE!

Thanks  you for your help

Now i found the solution - it was very easy!!

it only looks wrong in the project preview - after i exported it, it looks fine. Of course! Because it fits to every screen/player etc. automaticly. so i just ignore the wrong preview, edit the subtitles and export the film - that's it.

Interesting. I don't think this will work the way you imagine. But are you sure you have a CEA 608 stream? The characters don't look right.

CEA608 is designed for TV display, and I don't think it will adapt to vertical display. I used a 480x640 square pixel sequence, and the only method I found for getting a conforming 608 Closed Caption stream was to specify overrides (Import Settings in the Caption Panel). When creating a 608, it defaults to horizontal, and there is no option to change the pixel dimensions/shape in the rightclick Modify -> Captions dialogue.

But 608 specifies maximum line characters, and no control of character size. I found I could get 30 characters, and they display nicely. You only have 27, and they are not displayed correctly.

What do you plan for export? Are you planning to embed?

Make sure the captions have the same resolution as the project.

you need to adjust the tracking and/or kerning of the text
