Hi,
Can you please suggest cloud storage solutions to store my media so that I can access them on multiple devices? Video takes up so much space I am not sure where to house them so that I have access without paying high fees for apple cloud! Curious what others in the community are doing with a lot of video files, etc.
HI @Yash Ivory,
Thanks for writing in. I can empathize with your situation in wanting all your devices to have access to the same media. There are a lot of solutions out there that people use. Most people store the files in the cloud, but then download the ones that are "in production." Playing and editing from cloud storage is a different animal. Some people use LucidLink and similar setups. However, those are going to be more expensive than iCloud - much more. So, it all depends on your workfl

So, it all depends on your workflow. Can you live with merely storing them in the Cloud, then downloading them as needed? I have a feeling you are looking for something like LucidLink, if so, be ready for paying more for that service over Google Drive, DropBox, or even Creative Cloud. I hope the info helps.
Cheers,
Kevin

As usual, Kevin nailed it. LucidLink is really the best option as a transport service for cloud stored media. But it has a cost.
And you have to have at least 200Mbps sustained both ways internet, and cloud storage.
Others ... well, you can have a cheaper host option, and cheap or free download/upload services.
But you can't use on the cloud media in Premiere without LucidLink, that I really am comfortable with.

Thanks Kevin, I wanted to access my videos across multiple devices without needed to carry an external drive, however I am working to launch my brand design company and work within budget. I appreciate the feedback and I will check out LucidLink once my budget increases, for now I will leverage the cloud solutions you mentioned + an external. Thanks again!
