Color Correction with Changing Light Conditions

I have long cut videos of dancers who pass in front large bay windows with large amounts of incoming light.  Needless to say my scene switches in a pan from even lighting to a backlighting. My question is a situation where I attempt to link the Lumetri to keyframes or make sub clips and individually adjust each one?

I would cut the clip, add the required colour correction and cross fade between them to smooth the joins.
