Question

Color Key Removing Entire Image

Every time I drag and drop the color key effect on an image the entire image disapears in the program monitor. This is happening as soon as I drop the effect, before I have keyed a color or anything the screen just turns black. All the effect settings are also untouched. Additionally if I try to render the sequence with the effect applied I get the following error.

Hi @haakon_8110,

It's been a couple of weeks since you posted. A developer responded, but we didn't hear back from you. I'll move your post to the Discussions forum while we await a response.

Thanks,
Kevin

Hi,

Thanks for writing in for the issue you are facing.
We are looking into the issue but would need some details to reproduce the issue faced at our end.

  1. If possible, can you please share Project/timeline and media on OneDrive.
  2. Can you please let us know about media details on which Color Key was applied and any other effects applied on timeline ?
  3. You mentioned after applying Color Key on timeline Program monitor goes black, can you please let us know any steps done before it?

I have the same issue.

My specs are (on a laptop):

Premiere Pro Version 25.1.0 (Build 73)

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8550U CPU @ 1.80GHz   1.99 GHz

RAM: 20,0 GB

Type system: 64-bits, x64-processor

You can see in the video what happens.

I have the 'Transparency Grid' enabled (disabling doesn't change anything).

Move your files to a local drive and see how that goes.
