Hi
I am working on a big project where we have hours of interviews. I had carefully gathered the best soundbites in a designated timeline. A lot of small clips.
A few months went by before I started the final editing, but to my horror I see that the content in the clips has changed. The timeline looks perfectly normal, with all the small clips of different length. But when I play back and look at the content, its just the same part over and over and over again! It seems like Premiere has disgarded the in and out points and just put in the start over the raw interview clip. Days of work are gone!
Here are what I know have happened in the periode between I opened the projects:
- I have updated Premiere to the newst version; 23.5.0
- I have made proxyfiles of everything, since it a mixture of Sony FS5 footage and FX6 footage.
- I had to move all the rawmaterial and project file over to an external SSD-drive and relink everything. I have since checked that the clips are linked correctly.
I had this happen to another project last week, but in that case the timeline consisted of entire interviews in the timeline, as I was transcribing. Then I could change is as I had the writen transcript with the correct timecodes. This time it is completely differrent as the clips and in the hundreds and I have no transcript of the original.
Do any of you know what can have happened? Is this a knowned problem? Are there any solution to it, over doing it all over again?

Thank you, Ann Bens!
Unfortuantely it seems I have discovered this problem too late, as I have been editing in the project and saves several times. The workaround listed in the post does not work. As I do not have a projectfile from before the problem arises, I have nothing to go back to. Even with Beta-versions.
