Contour Shuttle Pro and Premiere Pro 24 issue

I upgraded to Premiere Pro v24, and my Contour Shuttle Pro V2 shuttle wheel settings don't work properly anymore. Not sure why, I created new settings from my old Premiere Pro v23.6 settings in Contour Shuttle app, connected to Premiere Pro v24, and everything works except for the shuttle wheel. I turn the wheel and it plays back as if I hit L or J once, and as I turn it more it doesn't speed up, just stays at the 1x speed. I've tried other combos in the settings but it doesn't seem to behave as it should.

Anyone getting this behavior? Got any settings that is working for you? Contour support is of no help, you can't even email them for tech support anymore.

Mac Pro 7,1

Ventura 13.6.1

Premiere Pro v24

Contour Shuttle Pro v2 - driver 4.0 (406) (latest one from their website)

Many thanks,

Joseph

Update:

Since this post, I had upgraded the OS to latest Sonoma and latest Premiere. I got the shuttle working again by doing the following - export the settings that was working before so you can use it as a reference only, uninstall the driver/app, go through the Library and delete anything related to Contour like preferences, files in application support, etc. Empty trash and restart. Reinstall the driver/app. Started new settings from the basic Premiere Pro Edit default setting and pointed it to Premiere Pro v24 in Applications. Customize it using the exported old premiere setting as a reference. Shuttle wheel should work again.

Glad it's all working well. I saw another post the other day, and it made me go to the Contour website, and I saw they now have a x64 version of their driver for Windows. And it seems to work just fine, and kepts my prefs, etc.

All you have to do is go to the Contour Shuttle Settings, highlight "Premiere Pro CC 2018 edit", click the gear icon on the bottom and click Copy to New Settings, then navigate to the Aplications folder and select your version of Premiere Pro.

The new driver sucks (v5.02).   It is not like that and does not work in my Sonoma Mac Studio.  I have about 4 hours of effort and research looking for the elusive fix.  I have sent in a report to Countour.  I just hope they use Team Viewer as I don't have time for playing.   I have 2 SP and I love them.  I hate the TourBox.  Too many double-clicking and weird small buttons too close to each other for my taste.  I even did the 15 second reboot and reset the security permissions.  It should not be this hard.

Going to try one last time with Currahee idea.  My USB hub sees it but not a single button highlights even in the standard Countour splash screen which when you click a button it highlights on the diagram and has a list of the controls and the ability to change them right there.  That was one of the best parts.  Ok try it one more time

I should have read on... I see you have it now. I uploaded a preset for you, it works quite well on Shuttle, it's not the pro. Anyway, try it if you like, just use the same thing you did but import... The wheel is what is programed and it works well, speeding up and slowing down, better than the Contour version. How should I use a .pref file with the Contour app?

Inside the shuttle app, Click the Option button, and then Import Settings and select that file. Let me know if it works...

I would check with the maker about this issue.

Correction - that didn't stick. The shuttle is back to being inoperable.

I've kind of given up on the shuttle for Mac: they haven't updated the mac driver in years: the latest is a beta from 2021 if I'm not mistaken.

I've gone  over to a Tourbox, which they update often.

It's really frustrating. I just want a shuttle wheel that works like a tape deck shuttle wheel. All other buttons and jog wheel work fine.

Curious about the Tourbox, although I'm not willing to spring $300 for it, but can you program that knob to act like a shuttle wheel I am referring to?
