convert DVD to mp4/mov

hi does any one have experience converting a DVD to mp4/mov files on premiere pro? is this possible or does it have to be ripped first? if so, any suggestions on a good site that does this for free and does it well too 😄

Directly editing a VOB... or Ripping a VOB to edit using a note from Jim Simon

All you have to do is copy the dvd to hdd and import the vob's.
