I'm creating a video with the same clip being repeated over and over numerous times. The first few times the clip copies just fine. Towards the end of the video, the audio disappears and the clip is muted (even though it shows as fine -- everything on the timeline looks normal, except the audio disappears during playback).
To make matters stranger, when I move the silent clips up a track, the audio reappears but then the clip prior to it, which previously had sound, goes silent.
I am hoping this is just a playback glitch and that the sound will be fine upon export. I haven't tried exporting yet as it is a very long video, and I am hoping to get some answers during editing if possible. I tend to trust that what I see in preview is what will be exported, so right now the end of my video is silent for reasons that I can't figure out.
Thank you in advance.

Try deleting your cache files and deleting your render files (Sequence > Delete Rendere Files). Restart your computer and reopen Premiere Pro and then open your project.

What about nesting the repeating clips? My guess, though, is that it will export just fine. You should test an export.

Thank you for your help. I tested an export and it did not work either. I've made videos in this format before and it works, so I'm not sure what's going on. After a certain number of repetitions the sound just disappears. I also tried uninstalling and resintalling the software.

Try resetting the preferences:

If that doesn't work, try resetting the Workspaces:
Reset a workspace
Reset the current workspace to return to its original, saved layout of panels.
1. Do one of the following:
• Click the Workspace menu icon and select Reset to Saved Layout.
• Choose Window > Workspace > Reset to Saved Layout.
from here:

If that doesn't work, try Preferences > Audio Hardware and set Input to None.
If that doesn’t work, try updating or rolling back your graphics driver directly from the video card manufacturer’s site. If NVIDIA, do a clean installation of the latest Studio Driver (NOT the Game Driver)
If that doesn't work, try creating a new project and import the old one into it.
