Question

CPU hitting 100%, playback and render issues

Hi all,

I have about 10 tracks in my premier pro project. Three have ultrakey effect applied and few masking here and there. Playback is not running smoothly although I set it to 1/4 or even to 1/8. When I export there's some undesired noise/distortion too. CPU is hitting 100%, and I thought my laptop should be sufficient for a small project like this. Can you please support?

Adobe Premier Pro v23.1

Windows 11 Home 21H2

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 4700U with Radeon Graphics

RAM: 16.0 GB (15.4 GB usable)

10 tracks? Is that all video?

10 video tracks, three with UltraKey, plus masking ... that would put a load on my 24-core Ryzen, with 126GB of RAM and a full desktop 2080Ti. A laptop ... actually, yea, I would expect issues with playback.

You may need to use proxies ... or ... do some of the work, nest, then add more steps ... something.

Is there a red line above the timeline (because it needs to be rendered to play in real time)?

Have you tried proxies?

Hello! Here is some info about proxies:  https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/proxy-workflow.html
