Crashing constantly. PP2018 - MacPro 5,1, USB 3 drives.

I hate to be that guy but ever since I updated to PP 2018 I am crashing every hour. Running on a MacPro 5,1 Frankentosh writing to USB 3 drives. It just goes kaboom without warning. Have saved every crash log and submitted some of them to Adobe and they sent me here. I know it's not just me because I have a fellow editor working on the same project (using different media) and he is experiencing the same damn thing?

Occasionally I will get a link from Adobe after the crash to go to this link, which is so bizarre considering I am not working a pc and I speak english and not french.

Error 16 on Windows 10 Help !!

Anybody else experiencing this and are there any solutions? The only solution I have figured out is to tape a big sign to my monitor asking me if I saved lately, so I am hitting command S every minute or so.

Never had this problem before. New problem with PP 2018.

Is this crash related to trimming clips or moving clips in the timeline?

No. Just crashes out of the blue. Repaired all of the permissions and still it goes on.

Adobe Media Cleaner has now started to crash as well. Same symptoms as Premiere.

You said "Frankentosh," MichaelCWelsh. Is this a Mac 5,1 or a PC "Hackintosh?" If it's the latter, it's simply not supported. If it's the former, maybe I can help. Can you post one of the crash logs?

It's a MacPro 5,1 in the old casing. The last good one they made before they went to the trashcan. I keep upgrading it waiting and hoping that Macintosh hasn't completely abandoned us.

Went back and forth on twitter with Adobe Tech support. Nobody could find an answer. They finally sent me here. I have saved 90% of the crash logs. I probably have a hundred of them. Was working great untilI updated to 2018. I know I need to update the video card, but was sort of waiting to see what Apple was going to do next.
