Crashing on a specific point in timeline

I have a major crisis here, hopefully someone can help rather quickly!

 

I'm working on a 25m documentary, an exam supposed to be delivered in less than two days.

I was adjusting the subtitles, and started to make some of the subtitles in cursive as is was a transcript from a radio, and I wanted to make that clear.

 

I discovered that the font I was using didn't support cursive on numbers. I tried typing in the numbers manually again, but then the program crashed.

I restarted the program and opened the force closed project (as I was hyperfocused for two hours and didn't regulary save – stupid me!) and tried again. It crashed. I reopened the program and tried deleting the subtitle. It worked fine, I saved, but it crashed again as soon as I put the marker on that area on the timeline.

So I reopened, tried to place the marker even further out to map out where the issue was and if I could work around it. Nothing happened at first, and I saved. But right after I saved, the program crashed again.

So now I can't even open the project – the program crashes as soon as it's loaded.

 

I am desperate, how can I work around this??

    Delete the Media Cache and Media Cache files:

    If that doesn't work, try resetting the preferences:

    If that doesn't work, try resetting the Workspaces:
    Reset a workspace
    Reset the current workspace to return to its original, saved layout of panels.
    1. Do one of the following:
    • Click the Workspace menu icon and select Reset to Saved Layout.
    • Choose Window > Workspace > Reset to Saved Layout.

    If that doesn't work, try Preferences > Audio Hardware and set Input to None.

    If that doesn’t work, try updating or rolling back your graphics driver directly from the video card manufacturer’s site. If NVIDIA, do a clean installation of the latest Studio Driver (NOT the Game Driver).

    If that doesn't work, try creating a new project and import the old one into it.

    I tried deleting the cache and I got to open the project without the program crashing. But clickin on the same area made it crash again. I did it one more time, and the project appears on the timeline with the red line on top, and the images won't show - only the sound. I tried to select a few clips to render, but nothing happens. When I try to export, it's only possible to export soundfiles. 

    I've also tried to go back to auto saved files before the big accident occured, but when I open them, the same issue with red line and no images occur.

    Never mind about the export, somehow mp3 was set to default export file. I can export with the images showing.

    But no images shows up when editing, neither in the timeline or the preview-window. Can't press space bar to start/stop either.

    Hello 

    Have you attempted to start a new sequence using altered settings, such as "Apple ProRes 422" which is compatible with Premiere, and then copied your work into this new sequence?

    Not very familiar with all the functions of Premiere, but can I do this when I can't even access the project? Copying it I mean? 

    Or do you mean like opening the project file in another sequence?

    If you're unable to open the project, try searching for the project's name on your system to find all the auto-saved versions. Open the most recent one and save it with a new name, then you'll be able to start a new sequence.
