Crop effect panel Not coming up

Hi, I am new to premier. I want to crop a certain sequence. I know that one way is to go to the import box and switch to effects. Then type in crop, drag and drop to the vid however nothing happens. I thought that once you did that the crop tool would be featured on the desired sequence then you would be able to crop, but nothing happens. I tried bringing it up and doing it straight into the preview panel, also tried dragging and dropping it straight on the specific section in the time line. I also tried control m to go down from source, but I can't even click on it. Has anyone had this issue before? Thanks

Hi Naomi,

To apply and adjust the Crop effect, follow these steps:

1. Go to the Effects panel by selecting Window > Effects.
2. Search for the Crop effect and drag it onto your clip in the timeline.
3. With the clip selected, go to the Effect Controls panel by selecting Window > Effect Controls.
4. Scroll to the bottom of this panel until you see the Crop effect.
5. Click where it says Crop (with the fx icon next to it). This will highlight a blue outline around your clip. Drag these edges to your desired crop.

Hope this helps! If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.

Cheers,
Paul
