Cropping video to be played on multiple screens

Hi adobe community,

we are looking to change our current video display array for a space themed event from showing separate looping videos to showing parts of a single video (e.g. a spacecraft travel simulation), as if you were looking through "windows" of a spacecraft.

I will add an illustration of what we want to do and a photo of the current setup to give you an idea.

Apart from needing a video featuring the right content and a large enough resolution, I am wondering:

How would I go about cropping the different small parts of the video to different files? Is Premiere the right program for this? I am new to video editing since I mostly use Photoshop and Illustrator as a Designer.

Thanks for your help!

I'm sure there is a brute force sort of way of doing this through trial and error of taking the video and segmenting it out into smaller videos.

Where I work we are doing something similar using a hardware solution and software solution. To keep things short (since this is a Premiere Pro forum) we take one video and send it to 12 65inch 4K TVs. We use a program called ProVideoPlayer which has multi-screen mapping capabilities. We segment out portions of the video in PVP and then that program sends an individual feed through a Blackmagic Decklink Quad card to each TV.

Back to thinking of a solution for you, you might think about trying After Effects and using different comps to build something that resembles your previz above and then just exporting out the individual comps separately.
