CS6 / Encore gone forever

Download no longer available.

I now have to inform my clients that Adobe says they (my clients) no longer need projects delivered on DVD.

I'm sure they'll be very happy to hear this news...

If you have the serial number and either a DVD or download from when you purchased CS6 you may install... as long as you have a compatible computer and operating system

I still use Encore CS6 to make a DVD... but I started with Win8.1 and upgraded to Win10 during the free upgrade period... so I do not know how well things would work for someone trying to do a fresh install on Win10

I do have some help links for that, but as always with old programs and a new OS the "YMMV" warning applies

Two ideas that MAY work to install and/or run old programs in Windows 10

-RIGHT click the program icon or EXE and select a compatibility mode in the pop up option window

-or Run as Administrator http://forums.adobe.com/thread/969395 to assign FULL Windows permissions may help... this says Encore, but is sometimes required for ALL Adobe programs (this is NOT the same as using an Administrator account) so follow the instructions, substituting the name and location of your specific program for Encore

    -also https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/create-local-administrator-account-windows.html

For those who bought via download and didn't keep a copy on an external drive, I have some links that may help

CS6 and earlier programs HAVE NOT BEEN TESTED AND WILL NOT BE UPDATED for Mac El Capitan or newer operating systems

-which means that you try to use CS6 and earlier at YOUR risk of having problems due to Apple updates

-this is about CS6 (which is from 2012) but it will probably apply to other programs of that age

-Apple did not maintain backward compatibility with old programs in El Capitan or newer operating systems

I am from the flat earth community and still use Encore. Can anyone help me?. I am in dialogue with Adobe support to just to get the 6.0.2 zip update file for Encore, and the 6.0.5 Zip update file for Premiere. No luck there.

I use the new CC Pro 2019 suite now of course etc, but on my new PC Video edit machine I still have these CS6 programs installed for my own support of older projects.

Now the gotcha - I built a new PC recently and used my DVD with Retail key to install it.

Installs OK except versions will not update anymore via the Help>Updates option in the App

Also -on downloads site  the Adobe links appear to be there - BUT - the server with the ZIP files has been removed.

I have even searched all my old Hard disks but do not have these two zip update files.

    Searched Google - no luck

The fact these two update files are not even available to customers with a valid DVD and Retail key makes me mad. I don't even want or expect any other support from Adobe on CS6.

Isn't there anyway on this planet to just get these two ZIP files to update to last known versions so I can sleep at night ?

    Any help appreciated

If you have a perpetual license you can still use the software.

Sure, as long as I NEVER upgrade my computer.

    Parts are actually on order...

Or, do you mean IF I still have the original install media from 2012?
