DAW/Video editor synchronization

New Here ,
Dec 30, 2022 Dec 30, 2022

Hi! this is my first time using the adobe forum.

I am really interested in the ability to run adobe premiere side-by-side (in sync) with a DAW, such as cubase or protools.

Is there some possible method for sending a transport instruction to adobe from a DAW using midi timecode?

it would be really useful if I am working on a project that is rather music-based but I am also working on matching visuals/animation and I would like to synchronize my daw workflow with adobe premiere.

thanks!

Was a solution or workaround ever found? Since "they" are forever editing - it might be an easier workflow to have NLE and DAW sync their playback and playhead - so for every revision we don't have to render a new video to conform a cue.

Premiere can work with Audition, the Adobe video/sound DAW. Sadly though Audition doesn't have much Midi capabilities.

I've requested that as have others but supposedly not that many have asked for it, which I don't understand. I'm pretty rudimentary in Midi stuff, only occasionally needing to do something and must check the manual to remember how to work my keyboard each time. Yet even for the piddling Midi stuff I do, Audtion can't see it.
