Deselect TEXT in Premiere

Good evening everyone,

cannot deselect TEXT = after typing TEXT I am forced to click on the timeline to deselect the TEXT.

is there a shortcut to deselect the TEXT?

(in AE one hit ALT + ENTER but it does not work with PR)

Hit the Esc key, to confirm + exit edit text mode. Then hit V, for the Selection Tool, or any other shortcut to select another tool.

use Ctrl + Numpad Enter

You're most welcome. BTW, AE's keyboard equivalent is CTRL+Enter and not ALT+Enter.
