Hello everyone,

I try to make my first video edit on Premiere. I have two video footages to edit with 1920x1080 and 3840x2160. I put the the sequence settings to 1920x1080 and went to menu>clip>video options>set to frame to fit two footages in the same size.

However, when I export the video, the quliaty of the 4k video gets really bad. It looks alright in the preview but it gets bad once I export. You may find my export seetings below. I would appreciate it ver much if you can help me with that!Screenshot 2022-01-27 at 17.17.56.pngScreenshot 2022-01-27 at 17.18.17.pngScreenshot 2022-01-27 at 17.18.34.png

So you're working in HDR? If so, we need more information as to the color space properties of the two clips. Any overrides applied, anything.

Thank you very much for your reply Neil!

You may find the properties of the footage below. The second video was recorded mistakenly in 60 fps but I made it 29,98 (equal with the first one) but the quality is till bad.

If both clips are SDR/Rec.709, why are you exporting to HDR/HLG?

When I choose Rec.709 in the preview screen, the quality of the export seems even worse.

Now I tried with SDR/Rec.709 option and the result is no different. Do you have any other ercommendation on that?

Thank you very much!

Hi Ece5CD0,

Sorry about this failure. I want to know a couple of things. One, what are the specs of your computer, for example, CPU, GPU, and RAM? Next, what are the specific settings of your Export Settings for H.264? It would be nice to see your bit rate, etc. I hope this info will help guide us to a solution for you.

Thank You,

Kevin
