Hi,
I don’t have the option to download the previous version (2023) through the Creative Cloud. How can I download it, or where can I find a direct link to install it instead of using the Creative Cloud app?
Thanks

there is no direct link:
Hit other versions and scroll all the way down.

Thanks, Ann, for the reply. The problem is that I don't have the three dots option. Even though 'Show Older Apps' is enabled in my Adobe Cloud, I still don't have that option available.

This is a nightmare. Premiere Pro 2023 and After Effects 2023 were the last versions that supported Rosetta 2 and 3rd party video codecs. So essentially, by Adobe removing the apps from their store for quick download, they are screwing anyone who has a video project that was made more than 4 years ago or used the Go Pro Cineform codecs.

For anyone else reading this, check VERY carefully when installing a new version... to see if the option to KEEP previous versions is available and selected

Make sure in Creative Cloud Desktop you have FILE/Preferences/Apps - Show older apps - ON
Download 23.6.8 while you can... like soon.

I think the option John T Smith is talking about is the one in the picture below, Remove Older Versions, which must be disabled to avoid situations like Arudz posted, where they say the old version was “auto-uninstalled” during the upgrade. If it auto-uninstalled, it was because the Creative Cloud desktop app installer was set that way. In the picture, Remove Older Versions is disabled, which is what I want. I won’t uninstall an old version until I’m sure I no longer need it.
If Auto-Update is disabled (which I prefer), then when you manually click Update, you must also pay attention when it pops up a box asking you about those same two options before continuing to update. Too many users are in a hurry and just click through without reading what it says it’s going to do, and then they wonder why their settings got reset and their old version disappeared. It’s because it did what it was set to do.

Is it already too late? I do not see the "Show Older Apps" option (under "Settings"). Does anyone know if there are other options?

I've just checked and now 25 is out the oldest you can get via the Creative Cloud App is 24.0. For 23 or earlier you'll need to contact Adobe Support.

ALL versions off v23 are no longer available for me, including v23.6.8. This is what I'd expect as Adobe said a while ago that only the current version, (and all of its point releases) and the previous one, (and all of its point releases), would be directly available. When this thread was started in June last year all of the v23 releases should have still been available, but that is no longer the case.

That is indeed what Adobe said, and has done for the most part. However...

Although the published Adobe policy is to provide support and installation for only the current major version and one back, they do sometimes make exceptions. For example, although Photoshop should only offer the current version 25 and 24, on my Mac it also offers 22.2. I think what I read in the Photoshop forum is version 22.2 is still available because of special customer demand for a specific function that was removed (I think it was the old 3D features).
I don’t know why Premiere Pro 23.6.8 is still offered on some systems (I don’t see it on my Mac), but that also might be about accommodating a very specific need that certain customers require and which isn’t available in the current version?

Yes, the Capture function has been removed on version 24. One of the main services I offer in my small business is converting tape-based analog and digital audio / video to digital files, then editing and restoration. Many of us loyal Adobe users who have been paying for years got screwed and no one cares. One day I will turn on my computer and my version 23.7 will have been suddenly disappeared. The same thing happened with Encore (which I used), and the Capture function when version 24 came out. No advanced warning...no alternatives. Just gone. Some of us don't matter I guess.

Did you find alternatives for capture function?
I used OBS (which is free) for that job, also there are AJA and Blackmagic capture cards that provide capture with their proprietary software (apps are free, but they require specific hardware).
Wish you luck finding right tool.
