does anyone elses footage turn green when they hit play? and when they stop playing it goes back to normal color again?  It's quite distracting.  This is not the first time I've seen this issue. Pretty sure the footage was shot on a "RED" camera. file is MOV. the video codec column within premiere says App ProRes 422. It's 4k footage (raw). Premiere version 24.4.1 (Build 2). macOS Sonoma 14.5

Is it a render thing? Ok so if I hit export, the green doesnt show up on the export. If I were to render a little section of the red footage on the timeline and then hit play, it doesnt show as a distorted color any more. But I shouldn’t have to render that just for the colors to display normally. or is that a sign that my 128gb ram computer cant handle playing this footage natively at 4k while having colorista on it?

You probably already know, but there is a Playback and Paused resolution control under the Wrench menu of the program monitor. Just have a quick look so they are both set to Full and High Quality Playback is checked.

@Kevin-MonahanI had used the still frame button in premiere and took that jpg into photoshop and did generative fill. then took that PSD back into premiere and laid it on top of my video....  In this first screenshot below, the left side is the PSD and the right side is my image. and this is how it looks when I press export and the export dialogue comes up. (I had to black out this persons face for the sake of this post).

If I were to cancel that export and just park on that exact frame in the tiemline it looks normal again. You can see the green discoloration in the export dialogue window and when I hit play on the timeline.
