Hi,

So I just did a fresh install of OSX Mojave. Then I installed Premiere CC. On my dock I now have an icon for a plug-in scan. If I hover over it, dvaaudiofilterscan pops up. I searched to find out what this is and got no concise answer. In fact, there was some indication this is malware from Adobe. Can anybody explain what this is and whether it is a concern? Thanks

Correct answer chrishaleamarillo

Adobe has a new update that came out a few days ago. That fixed it for me.

Doing this helped me get rid of the audio scan, thank you so much. I was also able to look in my desktop and move the files to the trash and then emptied the trash bin and it got rid of all.

How am I getting the same problem now, on a brand new Macbook Pro with nothing installed apart from Adobe Premier Pro?

I have macOS Montery.

Please fix this, its very anoying and suggests of a software manufacturer that really does not know what they are doing if a fresh install of the software on a fresh OS using the most common platform for designers out there - if they can't get it right here, how can we trust them with our media?

I just got this brand new MacBook Pro and installed my Adobe Premier and this "PLUG-IN SCAN" app came up. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, and it came up again. It stays in my dock, too, when I run Adobe Premier. Can I just throw it in the trash? It seems like a problem that's been coming up for a while based on this thread.

yup. two years after this first post I found here, I too am having the same issu(s). clean wiped my 2019 13" MBP, did some work in Bridge and afterwards looked at recent items. dvaaudiofilterscan appears. So i did another clean wipe of entire drive, reinstalled CC and back it comes. Currently I did apple+f (the find tool) and it has been running twenty minutes now and still can not find it? So then how would it keep showing up under recent items?

I think it was too old and most of the issues are now fixed. What is the version of Pr you are using? Current one is 13.0.3

The latest version. I uninstalled and reinstalled Premiere and that got rid of the dvaudiofilterscan on my dock.

But still having issues with not being able to see the audio waveforms on my timeline. There is another discussion thread going for that and with others experiencing the same issue. I thought it was related to this dvaudiofilterscan situation that showed up on my dock, but it seems uninstalling and reinstalling premiere got rid of that issue, however it didn't solve the lack of visibility of the audio waveforms.
