Suuup!

When I Replace any contet that have some kind of frame hold in Premiere to After Effects, I noticed that the frame hold isn`t beeing recognized.

The "Holded Frame" come to AE without stop, comes as if it were the video file without the frame hold.

I got the Freeze Frame at AE, but I already made a lot of videos with the frame hold.

There are any other way?

Really Thanks!

Its not ideal, but I have an easy workaround for the frame hold issue.

Find the frame you want, the click the Export Frame button under your program.

Save the image and import it into your project, then drag it to whatever duration you want to frame hold. The image should stay static when you dynamic link in AE.

It would be nice to have some sort of flatten video clip option where you could bake in effects, maybe one day. Maybe with the option to create a new file next to the original footage, that way you don't overwrite it.

Same problem. I have a bunch of screen captured clips of webpages where I needed to re-create the mouse movement (yes, it's not optimal but this is how it goes). For rough versions I did everything in Premiere, making frame hold segments and masking and animating from there. Now that I want to fine tune and finalise my animations in AE I need to create new freeze frames for my clips?

Upon progressing further, I'm noticing none of my time adjustments are transferring to AE. So I need to speed up my clips again as well.

Working on Premiere CC 12.0.0 and AE CC 15.0.0

Hope someone has insight on this.

    Cheers!

I recommend sending only original clips over to AE.  Don't include any effects or transitions.  Add those in AE or on the linked comp back in PP.
