Edit menu for the Essential Graphic "Sport Transition" does not have scaling, moving OPTIONS?

I was trying this graphic.

And when I went to the edit menu, I saw it was, contrary to others graphics, missing the moving and scaling options from the menu is that right?

 

is that normal?

    I think any of the "How to make a mogrt in After Effects" on Youtube will be a good reference to get started on building a mogrt. @R Neil Haugen's suggestion of Jarle's ebook is great to rely on for greater, in-depth mogrts instruction. It's free, so just download it to have on hand when you need it.

     

    For After Effects general, there's a Learn window that will bring you through the basics. There's the After Effects User Guide if you prefer reading, and there's channels like Ben Marriott who includes download links to a project file on his tutorials.

    If you need a quick tutorial on how to add the controls you want to this mogrt, it can be a good opportunity to learn through reverse engineering someone else's project file, just let me know.

    That’s to be expected. Every mogrt file is unique, depending on the creator’s design choices, leading to variations among them. Typically, mogrts sourced from Adobe Stock include controls for Global Scale and Position, but there are exceptions.

    To adjust the scale or position of the graphics, you can utilize the Effect Controls panel. Should you wish to incorporate these adjustments directly into the mogrt, you have the option to edit the mogrt in After Effects, integrate the changes into the Essential Graphics panel, and then save it again for future use.

      I would only add that Adobe has provided a great resource, a downloadable online ebook. That is sadly rarely mentioned here. It covers doing ANY mogrt design and creation work in AfterEffects, including modifying a current mogrt, for deployment in Premiere.

       

      It is EASY to understand, heavily illustrated ... and every step is detailed. (Not like many instructional things where certain required steps are missing ... )

          I almost forgot @R Neil Haugen , what are the "relations"/"links" between this stuff (mogrt) and scripting/coding/ SDK stuff etc?

            It's normal. Each mogrt is built how the artist builds them, so you'll see a lot of difference between mogrts. While most mogrts from Adobe Stock will have Global Scale and Position controls, some won't.

             

            If you want to scale or reposition the graphics you can do so from the Effect Controls panel. If you want to build them in, you can open the mogrt in After Effects, add them to the Essential Graphics panel, and re-export.

              Oh I see, I love that, I actually had read about it here or somewhere, but I don't recall where, it's a whole new world I believe? (Making graphics on After effects), could you point me to where to start , guide, example of use? (I mean how to make my own stuff related to graphics similar to the one I showed, in after effects)
