Editing multiple captions simultaneously on Premiere Pro 25

In previous Premiere versions, I was able to highlight and select all video captions and make edits to the size, font, positioning, etc., that would change all captions at the same time. So far in Premiere Pro 25, I've been unable to find a way to do this. With the new properties box, I can double-click a particular caption and make edits to it there. But, I haven't found a way to apply those changes to all other captions — and it's not letting me select all captions to make edits to all at once.

 

PLEASE, if anyone knows a fix to his, help! I would hate for something that once took less than 30 seconds to beecome an hours-long effort on longer videos I'm frequently editing for work.

The Properties panel should work exactly the same as the Essential Graphics panel used to work for subtitles. If you have the Properties panel open and select multiple captions, you don't see this?

 

Have you also checked out using Track Styles? Once you like the look of a single subtitle, click on the + in the Track Style section to add a style to your track. That will make all subtitles look like the one you stylized to your liking. That way you can really quickly update all your subtitles in one go with the "Redefine Style" button later on.

Have you also checked out using Track Styles? Once you like the look of a single subtitle, click on the + in the Track Style section to add a style to your track. That will make all subtitles look like the one you stylized to your liking. That way you can really quickly update all your subtitles in one go with the "Redefine Style" button later on.

    Thank you very much, @Annika Koenig! You're correct that the Properties panel works the same as the Essential Graphics panel did, but in the past I was simply able to highlight all subtitles and go straight to the (already open) EG panel for editing. With Properties, I've now discovered I can't select all subtitles and then try to open Properties by double-clicking. Instead, I have to open Properties, then select all subtitles. Even typing this sounds like such a minor issue that I'm happy to have now figured out — but it was driving me crazy until now! Thanks again.

    This is because the Essential Graphics panel was part of your workspace. If you sre using a custom workspace you can just add the Properties panel and save the changes. If you are using one of the default workspace (like "Editing") you should see the Properties panel there included as well. If not, try resetting the workspace.
