Encore Not Burning DVD

Over a dozen attempts to burn DVDs in Encore 5.5 and failing, often with Sense Code 52102 indicating that the problem was with my hardware and finding the hardware burned DVDs in another application, I found a solution that is working every time, thanks in part to various bit of advice in this forum: I create in Encore 5.5, importing Premiere Pro sequences as timelines and Photoshop for Menus --  and then instead of burning DVD, I build an image file (maybe also called an ISO). I then use a free program AShampoo Burning Studio to burn the DVD from the image (being cautious I slow down to 4x rate, but I'm not sure that's necessary). And voila! Burning happily away.

Thanks! I am at my witt's end wasting all these DVD's

What program are those options from?

Did you create the .iso in Encore?

You are probably right. Just sucks that it all works in the encore file on the computer but then the dvd has errors.

Make sure you use a good brand of disk such as Verbatim.

The Windows program I use for burning is Imgburn... Read http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1322583 for notes on installing Imgburn WITHOUT any toolbar add-ons... Set Imgburn to use the slowest burn speed your drive and media will use... I set my burn speed to 1x and let Imgburn adjust to the actual minimum
