End Credits Scrolling Speed Error

Hello!

I seem to be running into an odd problem involving my end credits which I created with the 'graphics' panel of Premiere.

Basically, I have your usual credit roll with cast and credits and it's about 2 min long and it starts off screen and ends off screen and it rolls the whole length of the 2 min.

Now I want to copy/paste this graphic/title/credit roll to a new sequence and when I do that it changes the timing completely. When I play as usual ALL the credits roll up in the first 5 second of the clip (even though the clip is stretch out to 2 min). When I click on the clip and then scroll back and forth the credit rolls at it's intended pace. When I play it normally it does that error where the whole credit text scrolls by in the first 5 seconds of the clip.

Am I missing something or is this a bug?

Thank you,

A.

Correct answer Peru Bob

Delete the Media Cache and Media Cache files.

If that doesn't work, Try resetting the preferences:

FAQ: How to reset preferences in Premiere Pro?

If that doesn't work, try resetting the Workspaces:

Reset a workspace

Reset the current workspace to return to its original, saved layout of panels.

  1. Do one of the following:
    • Click the Workspace menu icon and select Reset to Saved Layout.
    • Choose Window > Workspace > Reset to Saved Layout.

from here:

https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/workspaces.html

If that doesn’t work ,try updating or rolling back your graphics driver directly from the video card manufacturer’s site.

Thanks for the reply Peru Bob.

Before I saw your reply I updated my Premiere CC from 2018 to 2019 and it seemed to have done the trick. Perhaps it was some lingering bug but it all worked out now.

Thanks
