Question

Enhance speech not working at all on macOS 12.0.1

I managed to download and install the Enhance speech add-on no problem via the Creative Cloud app.

However, it never progresses past "Enhance speech is being set up"

it recommends upgrading to macOS Sonoma for "faster performance" but at the moment there is NO performance! Upgrading is not an option for me as I will lose all my Native Instruments plugins which are necessary for a music project I'm in the middle of.

Is there anything I can do to force this thing to behave?

Can you share your computer specs and a screenshot of your timeline?

There have been issues with Enhance Speech on Intel-based Macs that I believe have been fixed in subsequent versions.

Are you sure you’ll lose your audio plugins? These typically carry over as plugins are not stored according to a specific version of Premiere Pro.

Hi Paul.... I have a 2021 10-core MacBook Pro M1 Max with 64GB RAM

I checked Native Instruments website very carefully for compatibilty, and yes, my plugins will stop working in Sonoma. This is nothing directly to do with Premiere of course, but does mean I can't upgrade my OS without a massive issue.

The Timeline is actually the Enhance Speech Tutorial timeline as that's where I got stuck (I'm a beginner with Premiere).

What version of Premiere Pro are you using?

You can check by going to the Premiere Pro menu and selecting About Premiere Pro.
