Having worked my computer rage to a slow burn, allow me to get something out my system.  The new Essential Graphics, please.  Unless someone here can help.  The new build and essential graphics has sold my editing to a crawl.  To move a text block is to wait like I'm dragging a boulder, to type a text block is akin to chiselling it into stone.  So before I hear anything about metal and GPUs, please allow me to relay my current project settings, etc, etc.

I have a MacBook Pro, 2.4 GHz 8-Core intel core i9, 64GB memory, AMD Radeon Pro 5500M 8GB graphics card.  And I have set rendering to GPU accelerated Metal.

So what am I missing here, other than my frigging mind, which I lost when I tried to edit today.  It was all fine yesterday, and then new update, and...

If you build it, they will come.  Not with Build 2, they won't.  It'd take them friggin' forever to move an inch across my screen.

For right now, then, go back one version. Easy enough to do in the Creative Cloud desktop app. Just go to the far end of the Apps tab line for Premiere Pro, the three dots ... click, and selecte an earlier version.
