Hi,
Unfortunately, I am not the most tech savvy person in the world. But I have been using Premiere Pro for the last five or six years. Recently, within the last few days, I have been unable to export H264 format or really anything. Premier will just freeze during the export and then become unresponsive.
Unfortunately, due to my lack of knowledge, I don't know how to get around this. I did play around with a few things and managed to export a 12 minute video with the QuickTime presets however, that 12 minute video with 58 gigs. About 53 gigs bigger than wasn't even close to necessary. I have an iMac with about 300 gigs of free space and 96 GB 2667 MHz DDR4 so it is not my computers problem. I do not know how to get around this. If anyone is experiencing this or knows how to help, that would be fantastic.
I use this to make videos for my business and at this point I am going to be in a lot of trouble if I cannot get these videos out. It's been three days and I cannot get any of these videos out.
Thank you for any and all help.
I will eventually be switching to da Vinci to possibly avoid. These are going disasters in the future but for now I have four projects ready to render, and I need to get them out.

If you haven't already, make sure you have the latest drivers installed for your video card.
I had a lot of issues with the latest version of Premiere Pro (23.1). So much so that I ended up installing version 22.6.3 and haven't had those issues. Since that's the version you're currently using, I'd recommend installing 22.6.3 and trying it next. Probably be good to uninstall 23.1 first, just to be safe.
The third thing you can do is bascially what you did, by using another lossless codec, such as Quicktime Animation or Lagarith (https://lags.leetcode.net/codec.html) and making an intermediate file. It will be very large, but often you can then take that file, put it into Media Encoder, and it will export it out as an h.264 without crashing. It's not a guarantee, but something to try if my first couple of suggestions don't work. Then you just delete the large, intermediate file.

@tylerb82618031,
Some Mac users report sluggish UI issues with 23.1. I recommend you roll back to v.23.0. The bug appears especially when switching back and forth between sequences. Let us know if you need help rolling back.
Thanks,
Kevin
