Exported video is shorter than the original

Good day!

I've created a one-hour video in PP CC 2018.  I'm exporting for DVD but I see the mp2 file is only 46 minutes.  What's going on and how do I fix it?

Thanks!

Your source footage frame rate (fps) should be the same as your sequence frame rate and your export frame rate

    Is that confirmed ?

29.97 was confirmed frame rate as SOURCE and OUTPUT in screen grab supplied by OP.

There is a learning curve to Encore - if you are already familiar with another DVD authoring package, then by all means use that.

If it does not like the mpeg format you are getting from AME, many packages will accept an .avi file, so one might export as DV NTSC .avi and bring that into authoring package and let that transcode to MPEG-2. This method worked great on the Windows DVD Maker software.

Encore prefers separate video and audio as .m2v and .wav but other packages might want video and audio in one file, which is set up under the Multiplexer tab in AME export (set to DVD if needed).

    Thanks

    Jeff

Did you have any in /out points or work area bar set? Could you poat a screen shot of your export settings.

I have no in/out points, but I did add chapter markers.

Thank you for your prompt reply.

How were you planning to make a dvd?

Does your drive have enough room

Is your drive formatted to ntfs?

What app shows the export file as 46 minutes? What if you Import back into Premiere, what does that show?

Very odd that it would export incorrect length, have never experienced that with any export format myself

    Thanks
