DVD is only 720 X 480, so any media larger than that will lose quality when exported to mpeg2-DVD and then authored and burned to DVD.

You should use a software for DVD authoring (Adobe had Encore but it is discontiued).

Rendering to mpg2-DVD and burning this file into DVD will not work.

What are the media pixel dimensions?

What are the sequence settings?

How will the export be viewed?

If you start out with HD and export to dvd then yes you will lose a lot of image quality.

Easiest way is the export to H.264 in a mp4 container in HD quality.

Put it on a flashdrive to hand out.
