Question

Exporting adjustment layers in Premiere Pro

Hi,

I'm trying to export Premiere Pro projects with the less limitations possible to interact with another editing software. So far, I've been exporting my projects as Final Cut XML, but a lot of functions are not supported, including Adjustment Layers, which is the one I'm most interested in exporting.

Also tried using EDL and Avid Log Exchange, but they don't support Adjustment Layers either.

Is there any other way to universally export those more complex functions?

Thanks!

Cuando exportas mediante xml no es posible añadir las capas de ajuste, por lo que si las usas solo deberas replicarlas en el nuevo software de edición.

Anything native to the Premiere Pro project file will not be included in any options for exporting projects for other applications including Adjustment Layers, Legacy Titles, Bars and Tone, Black Video, Color Mattes, Text Styles, etc.

You could render or "bake" the adjustment into the source footage and then use the resulting files elsewhere.  As Adjustment Layers work in the Timeline, there's not really a quick way to do this.  If the Effects applied to the Adjustment Layer were copied and pasted as a Source Effects, then the corresponding Clips could be selected in the Project and exported at the same time with the Effect pretty quickly.  If taking the approach of exporting from the Sequence, it might be quickest to create a string out (one source clip in the Timeline placed after the other) of the footage that uses the Adjustment Layer in a new Sequence and then export that for use elsewhere.

Thanks, Warren! I reframed my question in another thread so its clearer and less general:

We would appreciate your help 🙂
