Hello;

I shot an HDR video with the new GoPro Hero 12.  I have my sequence settings as follows:

My export setting are as follows

However the final video is at 2.7K.

What am I doing incorrectly?

Thank you

Happy to help! (Hi, Richard!)

The screen grabs you shared are pretty minimalistic. As in, you don't show the full Sequence settings dialog, just a few bits. And we don't see the preset and full data for the Export preset either.

A quick question on the framesize. You say the export is 2.7k ... have you reimported that exported clip back into Premiere, and checked it within Pr?

What export preset did you start with, as this has clearly been modified ... ? And what changes did you make?

Next, your color management on the export puzzles me. Most GoPro and drone footage is actually HLG, not PQ, as far as HDR format. So ... I'm puzzled as to the choice of PQ ... are you passing this onto another video post worker? Or trying to export in HDR10? Those  are, at this time, the two main reasons for using PQ.

And the setting for graphics white ... at 100 ... is very odd. That is nearly universally set for 200-210 or so, hence the PrPro's devs giving us that 203 nit option. So I'm curious about that also.

Further, I wonder if you may have used a 'standard' SDR export preset, trying to make that into an HDR preset, or if you modified an actual HDR preset. The HDR presets in Premiere do have either HLG or PQ in the preset name, and I don't think anyone but a full-on colorist probably has the knowledge to go through and find all the freaking picky little things that must be set correctly to get an actual working HDR video that plays on anything it's supposed to play on.

Everyone's mileage always varies ...
