Exporting Markers in Premiere Pro is broken

When attempting to export markers from Premiere Pro I am getting useless results.
I have sequences with extensive markers applied to clips, with information in the name and sometimes description fields. They show up in the marker window. When I attempt to export markers from a sequence I get a CSV or text file with only one entry.

When I attempt to export markers from a source clip I get a list with no text information at all.

When will premiere stop being a joke?

please fix this.

also it'd be great to be able to see the list of clip markers on the clip in a project bin (like you can in AVID).

being able to search across all markers would be good too. (like you can in AVID)

oh well.

Hi @defaultv51vi6e0dq3b - If you have clip markers that you want exported then you have to load the clips into the source panel and then choose export markers. If you want timeline markers then you need to have markers on your timeline.

Hi Jamie,

Thanks for your reply. I hope you understand that exporting the clip markers for every individual clip in a multi hour reel of footage with 50 -100 clips, let alone doing that for every reel in a feature documentary is not a feasible workflow.

It feels like Adobe never bothers to observe how documentary editors actually work, and makes no attempts to make its tools serve their needs.

Hi @defaultv51vi6e0dq3b - You could export an EDL if you are using Clip markers, but the information will only be preserved in the "Name" box.
