Hello -

I have been asked to provide a video in a specific format in broadcast quality. I need advice for what settings I need to use when exporting the final video so that the resulting file adheres to the following:

HD Content: XDCam 422 codec (QT wrapper, .mov extension)

NTSC broadcast standard

Video: 1920x1080i

              50 mb/s

              Long Gop

              29.97 (59.94) fps timecode

Video levels must be under 100 IRE and above 7-5 IRE (broadcast safe)

Audio: 2 channel stereo or 5.1

              48KHZ, 384kbps

Up to 6 channels of audio

               24bit

               Little or big endian

Audio must conform to a nominal level of -024 db with a maximum peak of -10.

This must be conformed to based on the CRTC loudness ruling.

I thought the days of 7.5% IRE were long gone

Yea, I saw that and wondered who's using such ancient modus operandi?

    And are they still tape-based?

Is there not an XDCAM preset under QuickTime?

Not that I can see. There's Apple ProRes 422 or Uncompressed YUV 10 bit 4:2:2. Would either of those work?

    Thanks!
