After updating to Premiere Pro 2020 I can not install any extensions anymore. The Windows>Extensions is greyed out.
I have tried uninstall, reboot, reinstalling with no luck. Any clues?
I am running PC, Windows 10 - everything (Windows, Adobe CC, Nvidia drivers etc. is updated to latest versions).

...This is the case for both my laptop and desktop computers. Both running Windows 10 64-bit. Extensions is greyed out.... 😞

as a last resort, I'd do a clean install of windows and then reinstall Creative Cloud. Wait, maybe you need to reload your extensions. Try checking "find extensions on exchange."

Oh man - I would not like to start reinstalling Windows 10 again...
I have tried the find extensions on exchange - it finds two extensions, that I have never really used. Alle the extensions I had installed before are gone - most of them where not in Exchange. I had extenison like the Filmimpact extensions...I can not install them inside Premiere...

maybe they're not compatible with 2020. Do you still have 2019 installed? If so, search on your hard drive for the extensions and see where they're located. I'm on a mac so it may not be exactly the same, but on the mac, there are all sorts of things that are in the user's document folder in a folder called adobe.
Also, have you tried to synch your settings to the adobe settings on the cloud. It's in the premiere pro menu and you want to download your settings, so you might want to make sure your synch settings in preferences either asks if you want to upload or download or automatically downloads. Might work, might not. worth a shot

For an extension to work it needs Premiere version number specified.
I have an extension that had to be updated for 2020.

Thank you for your help 🙂 I can not even acces the Extension button - its greyed out. So I can not install any extension directly from Premiere - only through Exchange - but the Filmimpact plugins are downloadable plugins that neesd to be installed through the Windows>Extension option in the menu inside Premiere Pro. Take a look at the image I attached in the first post - as you can see Extension is totally greyed out an not possible to acces at all. And its the same on both my Desktop and my Laptop. I did remove the 2019 because I had tried out 2020 but did not try the Extensions - so I regret not maintaing my old versions.

Is it possible for someone with reasonable knowledge to go into a .zxp and do this to make an extension compatible again? Or are we entirely at the mercy of the extension-writers to do the right thing? (looking sternly at Sling Studio).

I am a big idiot...I just realised, that Filmimpact makes installers for their transitionspacks. So I just had to download these and install. It was so long ago I had updated the packages, so I forgot how it worked. I thought it had to be installed through the extension manager...sorry for any inconvienece - I owe you all a free beer 😉
