Extreme lagging when viewing AE or MOGRT files in Premier Pro

I'm editing in Premier Pro V24.6.1 (latest version)

Playback is extremely slow on any linked AE files or motion graphics templates. Everything else works fine.

Playback is also super slow in After Effects too.

Syst...

Windows 11

12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-12700KF 3.60 GHz

32.0 GB RAM

2TB SSD

GeForce RTX 3050 VENTUS 2X XS 8G OC

I've tried lowering playback resolution with no visible changes.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

On a Macbook Pro and same issue. Random buggy and inconsistent with the MOGRT media disappearing and reappearing.

Gotta hand it to the crack Premiere team that as computers get more and more powerful they can continue to degrade their software more and more. I cannot wait to jump ship.

I could barely get Premiere to work on my Macbook Pro, so I went and built a computer so I could edit videos without this issue, and still here I am. Starting to think I need a computer Nasa might use at this rate.

At least I have the option to upgrade parts now if I still need more RAM or storage, but I shouldn't need a super computer to edit a 2 minute long video. Can't imagine what specs people in the film/VFX industry are using.

    How full is the SSD?

Make sure to use the latest Studio Driver from NVIDIA (NOT the Game Driver).

Try Preferences > Audio Hardware and set Input to None.

Thanks, I had a game driver installed, so I switched to studio.

This definitely helped speed up playback, but has not fixed it entirely. It's still frustratingly laggy.

I have over 1TB still left on my SSD.

In fact, I have 1.57TB left on my SSD.

It's also worth noting that I've cleared my cache.

I have no other programmes open.

I have no files stored on my computer except the video project files. All my other files get transferred to an external NAS drive once I'm done working on them.

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
