Extreme UI latency with any audio mixer window

Since the last update, both Audition and Premiere have extreme UI latency while any audio playback is happening, the playback itself is fine, but all the meters are very choppy and basically turn into a slide show, stopping, restarting, rebuilding the CTA PKR files doesn't help anything, is there some setting that can help mitigate this? It's making mixing the audio practically impossible
