Film Flicker

Hello

Is there anybody out there that can help me remove light flicker from a video clip ?  I filmed an area where the continous lights were at a different frequency from my camera and now I have annoying flicker on the clip.

I have tried duplicating the clip and placing the duplicate clip above the original, positioning it one frame in and adjusting the opacity to 50% - No joy there.

I have also added a third copy of the clip, placed this above the 2nd duplicated clip, moved this in a futher 2 frames fron the original and set the opacity for the 2nd clip to 67% and the 3rd clip to 33% - still no joy

I have also used Premier Pros Anti-Flicker Filter and this does not seem to do anything.

I'm using Premier Pro v13.1.13 (build 44). My skillset is beginner

Thanks in advance

Would be nice if you told us how you resolved it (might help others out with the same problem).

Hi Ann - A very good point and thank you for giving me a kick. In the end I used Digital Anarchy's DeFlicker Plugin. It worked first time round with no need to change any of the settings

digital anarchy's deflicker is the best I've seen. other options are resolve's deflicker, boris deflicker, re:vision's deflicker, Saphire's FlickerRemove or msu's free virtualdub filter http://www.compression.ru/video/deflicker/index_en.html, or GBDeflicker, or Genarts flicker remove , after effects can do some deflicker too.

free ae template to remove flicker and fix white balance(in black, mids, whites) with matte support

    Hi,

Those are all good methods to try and reduce flicker but if you want even better results. You should look at Digital Anarchy's Flicker Free plugin.

There's a demo for you to try.

    Good Luck!
