Finding original footage

Question

I've have a long finished video that was not edited in Premier Pro that I've put into my timeline.

I don't have the original EDL but I have all the original raw footage.

I want to recreate this video using the original raw footage.

Is there a plug in or some method to quickly search the raw footage to find each scene?

Match frame won't work, because the sequence was not originally built in Premier Pro, so the sequence doen't reference orginal clips.

If you can identify the shot in the original footage using the audio from the shot, you could use a combination of scene edit detection and multi-camera sync to find the original footage.

Here’s how you can do it:

Select your original footage in the timeline and go to Clip > Scene Edit Detection.
In the Scene Edit Detection window, tick Create bin of subclips from each detected cut point.
In the Project panel, select both the subclips and your original footage, then choose Clip > Create Multi-camera Source Sequence.
For Synchronize Point, set Audio Track Channel to Mixdown.
This will create multi-camera source sequences in your Project panel, which you can open in the timeline by right-clicking and choosing Open in Timeline.
