Fix for Pixel 7 video in Adobe products?

After a quick search it seems there are still known issues with Pixel 7 (Pro) video material with all Adobe products? When will this be fixed?

When I import footage (regular mp4s), all I get is strange green looking videos.

When I try to encode them with Media Encoder to Prores or whatever, there are still the exact same issues.

When I open the video with VLC everyone shows fine.

 

Please don't bother with "Premiere should be used with Prores etc", it should work with every video source. Yes, I know mp4 is not "the best" to work with, that doesn't change the fact it should be impossible in this case.

    You MAY have a video driver problem

     

    Do not count on Windows to be fully up to date when it comes to device drivers
    Go to the vendor site to be sure you have an updated driver for your graphic adapter

    -for all Adobe programs use the STUDIO driver, not the GAMING driver
    -To achieve the highest level of reliability, Studio Drivers undergo extensive
    -testing against multi-app creator workflows and multiple revisions of the top
    -creative applications from Adobe to Autodesk and beyond


    If you have a laptop you MAY also need to check for a laptop specific nVidia driver
    -SOME laptops require an approved driver from the laptop company, not nVidia


    AMD/ATI Driver https://www.amd.com/en/support


    Intel https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/211969/Intel-HD-Graphics-Family


    There are also intermittent reports that the newest driver is not always the best driver
    due to driver bugs or compatibility issues, so you MAY need to try an earlier driver version

    First, the last Nvidia driver that is known stable and usable at this time is the 517.40 Studio
    driver. The later ones have been a mess for many users even in Resolve. So ... go to their site,
    the 'older drivers' list, and do a clean install. That may help some.

    Soryr, no, all drivers are updated to the latest version. And every other program is showing them correctly, so.

    New one is out 528. Try that one.


    Not sure what graphic card drivers have to do with this issue.

    Rename from "mp4" to mpg and it works in Premiere.

    mp4 is a container. It is the codec used inside that is causing the issue. Might want to complain to Google.

    Covert with Shutter Encoder.

    Then you always should complain to the companies giving you a camera or phone? It's Adobe's job to include every codec available on the market, especially for a mainstream product like a Pixel phone. Thanks for the shutter encoder tip.

      I don't expect either Premiere nor Resolve to always immediately put out a patch for every phone out there. Phones not being the most professional devices made.

       

      It's hard enough to semi-keep up with all the new pro video cam formats.
