GPU not working, render times at 70+ hours!

Just updated to latest Premiere Pro version yesterday and now the GPU won’t kick on at all. This has been an on going issue but now instead of the 25% usage I was getting, I am now getting 0%-3% usage. Updated all my drivers last week. Called Adobe tech support and they were no help. He kept saying it’s my GPU and I have to update them. I said it’s obviously a software issue because they are updated! I told them a 40 minute project was going to take over 70 hours to render! He said it’s your GPU again. I said then how is it a separate project I’m working on in Davinci Resolve, that’s 48 minutes with LUTS and color grading applied took 25 minutes to render? He said let me look into it and never got back to me. I need some help with this, I never changed any settings in premiere pro from when it worked.

CPU - Ryzen 7  1800x

You have two of the 580's? Sometimes Premiere gets finicky with multiple cards ... a bit of a pain.

One other thing to be aware, which you probably are but many aren't ... the GPU is not used for general renders/exports in Premiere. It is used to support the CPU when effects from the GPU Accelerated Effects list are being used, as it comes to them on the sequence. Such things as Warp Stabilizer, Lumetri and other color, and notable resizing of frame-sizes.

If you don't have that type of thing, then ... the GPU isn't going to be used. If you do, it will be used as the CPU gets to the parts where it needs GPU computations.

I do have effects onto the clips. Some applied noise reduction and color grading. But it is still crazy that earlier this year my render and export times were significantly faster. In March I was exporting videos at almost 2 to 1 in real time and they were 4K videos. Then Adobe did an update and it went 1 to 1. Then another update and the rendering became slow and exporting became time consuming. Now, Adobe Premiere, for me has become unusable. These are paid projects with deadlines to meet and I can't leave my computer on for 70 hours and also not be able to work on anything else at the same time.
